*NEW* Best Brass Nano Practice Mute

HandWhen I first came across the Best Brass Nano in the Yamaha Ginza store in Tokyo I was taken by what I assumed was a keychain–a cute and well-made miniature harmon mute. When I later saw the Nano at the ITG Conference and discovered it actually has a function, I snatched it up.

Since that time, I’ve come to realize what a fantastic accessory it is–it converts any harmon mute into one of the best practice mutes I’ve ever played, combining substantial volume reduction with a satisfying tone quality and great response. It’s very handy for traveling, as you carry two mutes in the space of one.

Bonus: It doubles as a mouthpiece mute as well. The volume is not reduced to the same degree that the trumpet is, but it might be just enough to keep the adjoining hotel room from complaining…

The Best Brass Nano is a perfect example of form following function. It’s this season’s top pick for stocking stuffer.

I’ll post a video soon.
