Lotus Light Cordless LED Stand Light

The Lotus Light is the best stand light I’ve ever used, with an array of high-tech CREE LEDs that shed a wide scope of bright white light, producing the same color spectrum as natural sunlight. It is powered by a lithium polymer battery that will last the entire gig. A reduced power setting extends battery life even further, or dims the light in situations that call for it.

The included AC adaptor charges the light while powering it, and adjusts to worldwide voltages automatically. I leave the light plugged in at home so it is always charged and ready to go to the gig.

There are two models, one with a 6.5″ shade that provides full illumination over 2-3 pages and a 13″ shade that will cover 3-4 pages. The stiff but flexible arm allows you to direct the light exactly where you need it, up and out of the way of page turns, and it stays where you put it. A padded mounting clamp grips securely on thin metal stands, even folding stands, and expands to accommodate wooden stands and piano rests.

Though compact and light, the Lotus Light is tough. The LEDs are not fragile. The manufacturer suggests that it can be tossed into a gig bag without fear, though I opt to transport it in the neoprene carry pouch, which is included.

This is a well-designed and well-made product, fully backed by a US manufacturer.
