The campus is situated on a sprawling plot of land in the heart of downtown Toronto, a culturally diverse and vibrant Canadian city on the northern shore of Lake Ontario, about a two hour drive from Buffalo, NY, and a quick flight from New York City.
At U of T Jazz you enjoy the benefits of a small program coupled with the boundless learning opportunities of a major university. The jazz students are focused and directed, with competitive drive balanced by a pervasive atmosphere of support and encouragement. The faculty is comprised entirely of working professional jazz musicians, with a wide range of stylistic orientation. Together, they form a close knit family that celebrates creativity and innovation along with a respect for tradition. It really is an amazing place to study jazz.
